Glaciers have been a pillar of Ian van Coller’s study for nearly two decades. Here the artist employs such strategies as cropping, post-capture intervention, inversion, and color sampling. These visual cues relate to darkroom and digital capture, editing, or printing processes. This layered human-made visual language overwrites the natural world. Soon the only record of these megaliths will be the digital archive.
