Jennifer Greenburg, She made sure to tell me to keep smiling. 2018

“I do not have the luxury of ignoring the social and political climate.”

Jennifer Greenburg’s Revising History featured in the October 2019 edition of Black and White Magazine in an article by Larry Lytle, who has covered Greenburg’s work in the past. This Q&A check-in exposes how the Artist’s ongoing Revising History work has evolved from its conception in 2010 to now. Greenburg comments on how the time we live in is impacting her work with vintage images:

“I do not have the luxury of ignoring the social and political climate. I am consumed, through no choice of my own . . . to make work that comments on the cultural realities of the present time. It would be irresponsible for me to do anything else.” - Jennifer Greenburg
