Hannah and Sarah by Matt Eich
Hannah and Sarah by Matt Eich
32 x 24 in. pigment print by Matt Eich
Edition of 5
This photograph by Matt Eich first appeared in the Artist’s self-published quarterly zine, Seasonal Blues. It was selected for inclusion in an exhibition Small Beginnings, which acted as a one-year overview of images sampled from the aforementioned collection of work, and also wove-in a few lines of Biblical text and a poem by the artist. The title of the exhibition was a direct nod to Zachariah: “Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings.” Eich’s literary interests and collaborations continue to deepen; the poem by the Artist that accompanied the exhibition follows:
We have done
this
to one another
for one another.
Damage and
comfort,
in the name of
knowledge
and nourishment
we will
destroy anything.
Are our
effots
not evident?
